The Boston Celtics needed to bounce back against the Phoenix Suns after their loss to the Denver Nuggets.

The Celtics got the job done against the Suns with a 117-107 victory, thanks to the great performances of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

Tatum finished the game with 29 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists, while Brown contributed 27 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists for the Celtics.

Although Tatum led the Celtics in scoring, the 26-year-old star struggled with turnovers in the game.

Being a great leader, Tatum didn’t hold back on his thoughts about his performance against the Suns during the postgame interview, via Noa Dalzell.

“I finally stopped turning the ball over. I’m thankful I have some great teammates. I stunk it up tonight,” Tatum said.

Tatum found his rhythm down the stretch and was asked about what changed for him.

The 5x NBA All-Star gave an honest answer and thanked his teammates for picking up the slack amid his struggles with turning the ball over.

To be honest, Tatum may have been a tad bit too humble here, as he had just four turnovers throughout the game.

Sure, it would have been nice if he had trimmed down those turnovers, but it still didn’t have a huge impact on the Celtics’ 10-point win over the Suns.

Following the victory, the Celtics improved their record to 49-14 as they remain the number one seed in the Eastern Conference alongside having the best record in the NBA.
