The Golden State Warriors did what most NBA teams dream of: They built a dynasty through the NBA Draft.
One could argue that Kevin Durant, Andre Iguodala, and several role players from the early days of the dynasty came in free agency and trades, but the actual championship-winning core was drafted by them.
There has been no shortage of talent in the Bay Area over the past decade or so, but not even the biggest Stephen Curry hater could argue that he’s been the heart, soul, and face of the franchise.
That’s why GM Bob Myers and coach Steve Kerr believe he’s the reason behind the Dubs’ success, stating that he’s been their glue guy because of his humanity and personality, on top of the legendary player he’s grown to be.
Bob Myers: “How come we’ve been able to maintain [success] for 9 years?”
Steve Kerr: “Because of Steph Curry… I think Steph has kept this thing afloat because of the power of his own humanity and who he is on top of how great of a player he is.”pic.twitter.com/NJWwwRHZqO

Steph has never been a vocal leader, but he’s never hesitated to send his teammates a message or try and lead by example.
He’s also the kind of player who can get hot in the blink of an eye, and the rest of the team will follow once he gets rolling.
On top of being the greatest shooter in the history of this beautiful game, Curry went to great lengths to make sure the team was always in a position to contend, including recruiting KD.
Steph’s ego never got in the way, and the Dubs made it work better than most teams would’ve done it.
So, props to the ultimate Splash Brother for what he’s done for his organization.
