DeMar DeRozan is considered one of the most talented stars in the NBA and he sails down the court during every game with total ease.
So, can you believe that he does all of that with his shoes untied?
According to a video shared by Sole Retriever on X, DeRozan admitted that he doesn’t tie his shoes during NBA games.
Even with untied shoes, he still has had a terrific NBA career.

DeRozan said it all started when he was a kid and got a new pair of Jordans.
Because the shoes were so expensive, his parents warned him to be careful because he wasn’t getting another pair.
DeRozan still wanted to play basketball, but he didn’t want to create a crease in his shoes by tying them so he started to practice without lacing up.
And that habit has stuck with him all these years later.
However, things have changed and now DeRozan gets a brand new pair of shoes before every single game.
He doesn’t have to tie them and only wears them for the four quarters of a game before getting a new pair.
DeRozan averaged 24 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 5.3 assists last season for the Chicago Bulls.
However, he signed a new deal with the Sacramento Kings this summer and has moved to the West Coast.
The Bulls were stuck in mediocrity for the last few years so maybe DeRozan will have better luck with the younger Kings.
No matter what happens, one thing is certain: DeRozan won’t have tied shoes when the new season begins.
