It’s been quite a while since the Philadelphia 76ers and New York Knicks last won an NBA championship or even made it to the NBA Finals.
Nonetheless, they still have two of the largest sports markets in the U.S., not to mention two diehard, loyal fan bases.
And given the proximity between both cities, they also have a bit of an unspoken rivalry.
That’s why it’s not much of a surprise to see that the tickets for Game 1 of their first-round playoff series are currently the most expensive around the league.
As reported by TickPick on Twitter, get-in prices are currently at $353, followed by the Denver Nuggets vs. Los Angeles Lakers at $228.
Get-in Prices for Game 1 of the NBA Playoffs:
76ers @ Knicks: $353
Lakers @ Nuggets: $228
Heat @ Celtics: $154
Suns @ Timberwolves: $82
Magic @ Cavs: $78
Pelicans @ Thunder: $73
Mavericks @ Clippers: $69
Pacers @ Bucks: $49

The Boston Celtics vs. the Miami Heat tickets start at $154, $82 for the Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Phoenix Suns, $78 for Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Orlando Magic, $73 for Oklahoma City Thunder vs. New Orleans Pelicans, $69 for Los Angeles Clippers vs. Dallas Mavericks, and $49 for the Milwaukee Bucks vs. Indiana Pacers.
The Knicks are one of the best teams in the game right now, and expectations haven’t been this high among the fanbase for years now.
Jalen Brunson is a legitimate star, and he’s played like the best point guard in the game this season.
The Knicks managed to run away with the No. 2 seed, and they’re now firmly expected to make a run at the NBA Finals.
Nonetheless, the Sixers won’t be an ordinary No. 7 seed, and even though reigning MVP Joel Embiid isn’t at full strength, they still have plenty of talent on their roster.
