The NBA regular season is quickly coming to an end and that means that the playoff picture is becoming much clearer.

It also means that teams will be clinching postseason positions and either earning entry or being eliminated from playoff contention.

There are a number of scenarios that could occur on Wednesday night, according to the NBA.

Most importantly, the Boston Celtics could clinch the best overall record with a win against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

A win against the Thunder will give them a 60-16 record, which won’t be surpassed by anyone else in 2023-24.

The team is already the best in the East, a position that they won’t give up because they are so far ahead of the current second-place squad, the Milwaukee Bucks.

Regardless of what their final record is, the Celtics are the most feared and competitive team in the NBA right now.

Now the question is if they can go as far as they want in the playoffs.

Wednesday night could have some other big developments: the Atlanta Hawks will clinch a Play-In Tournament spot with a win or if the Brooklyn Nets lose.

Meanwhile, the Nets will be eliminated with a defeat or if the Hawks win.

Finally, the New Orleans Pelicans can clinch a top-ten seed with a victory.

There are now 13 days before the Play-In games begin, which means it’s coming down to the wire.

Teams that want to earn their spot in the playoffs will have to fight hard during this last stretch of the season.

Meanwhile, the Celtics will have to prepare to meet the sky-high expectations for them.
