Only a few days ago, there were reports saying that the Sacramento Kings and Toronto Raptors were discussing a possible trade that would send Pascal Siakam to Sacramento.
Any possible deal fell apart but it could be revived again.
Speaking on “Run It Back,” Shams Charania said that both teams were indeed talking about Siakam but the Kings had two conditions that needed to be met.
They wanted things to move fast and they wanted any possible package to revolve around them sending away Harrison Barnes.
When their demands weren’t met, the Kings moved away from discussions.
“I’m told the Raptors and Kings were in active conversations about a Pascal Siakam trade… revolving around Harrison Barnes. At this point, the only way it ignites is if Toronto comes back to Sacramento.”@ShamsCharania on Pascal Siakam. pic.twitter.com/8l1K5YbHJ8

Charania said that these two teams are not involved right now but that the situation is fluid and they could start to talk again soon.
The idea of Siakam alongside De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis is appealing to many Kings fans.
That would give the team a new Big 3 featuring a trio of All-Stars.
But the Kings don’t want any discussions to last too long because they are adamant about making a change soon so they can focus on the rest of the season and hopefully return to the playoffs.
They want to move quickly but the Raptors are considering a few options and possible suitors for Siakam.
The 29-year-old forward is averaging 22.1 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 5 assists this season, which means that multiple teams could be inclined to make a deal for him.
Instead of pursuing Sacramento’s offer, Toronto is weighing its options and not moving with great speed.
Will the Kings pick up the phone and call the Raptors again or will they move on to possibly landing a different NBA player?
Changes could still be on the horizon for both of these teams.
