The final day of the NBA regular season is slated to be chaotic and exciting, with 15 playoff seeds still on the line and half the league jockeying for position ahead of the run to the Finals.
Aside from the No. 1 seed in the East, which the Boston Celtics have had locked up for months, and the No. 4 vs. No. 5 matchup out West with the Los Angeles Clippers and Dallas Mavericks, just about everything else is up for grabs.
Ball Don’t Lie shared on Twitter all the unique battles fans are in for today, with a 3-way battle for the No. 1 seed in the West and another triple threat match for the No. 2 seed in the East lined up.

The Minnesota Timberwolves, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Denver Nuggets have a complicated 3-way tie atop the West that will be sorted out today, while in the East, the New York Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers have caught up to the Milwaukee Bucks and will work to find out who is No. 2 behind the Celtics.
The other notable battle is the New Orleans Pelicans trying to fend off the Phoenix Suns for the No. 6 seed in the West, which is imperative to avoid the play-in tournament.
The Sacramento Kings, Los Angeles Lakers, and Golden State Warriors will be competing out West to see who gets the No. 8 seed, thus avoiding having to win two play-in games in order to make the playoffs.
It’s a beautiful mess, but that mess has fans lined up for an absolute treat.
