Team USA and their NBA stars are just two wins away from the gold medal.

Coach Steve Kerr put together a team full of young, rising stars, and while some weren’t that impressed with their roster, they’ve done their jobs thus far.

Even so, young players could need a bit of mentorship ahead of one of the most important games of their careers thus far, and Team USA knows that.

That’s why they got them some of the best mentors any player could wish for when it comes to playing for the national team, as they arranged a visit with Pau Gasol, Carmelo Anthony, and Sue Bird (via FIBA WC).

Gasol is considered to be one of the greatest foreign players in NBA history, a FIBA legend with Spain who took his national team to new heights since he set foot on the court.

Anthony was always at his best when he suited up for Team USA, and there was even a point where he was their all-time leading scorer.

As for Bird, the WNBA legend is one of the most accomplished players in national team history, piling up five Olympic gold medals, four FIBA Basketball World Cup gold medals, and one bronze medal.

Kerr’s team will be in for a very complicated matchup vs. Dennis Schroder and Germany.

But they have more than enough talent at every position to get the job done, not to mention an elite coaching staff and now, the support of some true legends of international basketball.
