2 NFL HCs Recently Seen At Basketball Game Together

When an NFL season ends, it is often a time of sorrow for fans.

This is a major form of entertainment for them during fall, and the beginning of winter, and the offseason means that they won’t be able to see their favorite teams in action until September.

Fortunately for them, while their favorite team might not hit the gridiron in the offseason, plenty of news tends to surface to keep them happy.

Rumors tend to spark like wildfire during this time of year, which is exactly what happened after a photo of Matt LaFleur and Matt Eberflus surfaced at a recent Uconn-Marquette game.

As Ari Meirov highlights, both coaches were sitting courtside at this game, which sparked a conversation throughout the league.

At first glance, this pairing of LaFleur, the head coach of the Green Bay Packers, and Eberflus, the head coach of the Chicago Bears, seemed odd.

Why would these two divisional rivals sit together at a basketball game, especially since their teams have a storied history?

While fans have posed this question, at the end of the day, this game wasn’t about their teams or about the on-field rivalry they might have.

It was later revealed that Eberflus was on a college visit with his daughter at Marquette, and he happened to receive courtside tickets as a result.

LaFleur is a noted college basketball fan, so attending a game at Marquette or another local school isn’t unusual.

This pairing has elicited a strong fan reaction, which could indicate what could transpire between the Bears and the Packers in their two matchups in the 2024 season.
