The Chicago Bulls are entering a new era, and that means they need to offload as many big contracts as possible.
Needless to say, that means they’re going to have to find a trade suitor for Zach LaVine.
The problem with that is that LaVine has rarely stayed healthy as of late, and his public run-ins with coach Billy Donovan and the local media didn’t do much to help drive his trade value up.
They’ve been trying to move him for months now, but it seems like not even attaching a first-round pick to him has been enough for someone to take his contract.
Even so, Bulls insider KC Johnson reports that the Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings are interested in trading for him (Via Evan Sidery).
The Kings and Warriors remain interested in potentially trading for Zach LaVine, per @KCJHoop (https://t.co/GU0JB8gWyQ).

The report adds that both parties are looking forward to parting ways with each other this offseason, which is hardly a surprise.
LaVine is a good three-level scorer, but he’s making top-dollar money, and he’s by no means a primary option.
Of course, he could be a good contributor as a third-scoring option, which is why it makes sense to have him behind Stephen Curry and Jonathan Kuminga or Domantas Sabonis and De’Aaron Fox.
There are major concerns regarding his huge contract, injury-proneness, and the fact that he’s not a good — or even a willing — defender.
But with both the Warriors and Kings being desperate to get back into the playoffs right away, they might be forced to overpay and take a big risk to take a leap forward.
