The NFL Draft is just around the corner.
This class is one of the most anticipated in recent history, mainly due to the influx of quarterback talent among the top prospects.
While the jury might be out on the order that these players will go, the fact that there are so many solid prospects bodes well for quarterback-needy teams.
There seems to be a tier, at least in the eyes of the general public, of the top players on the board.
Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, and Jayden Daniels are commonly viewed as the three best quarterbacks in the class, with the others hoping to sneak into the middle or back half of the first round.
While the next quarterbacks up might be first-round draft picks, it doesn’t appear that any of them are willing to risk a Will Levis-type moment on draft night.
As fans might recall, Levis waited in the green room during the first round, waiting for his name to be called, but unfortunately, he fell to the second round.
Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk recently highlighted that Michael Penix, Bo Nix, and J.J. McCarthy will all likely opt out of the festivities.

Even if they do get taken sooner than they might anticipate, it could be more comfortable for them to get drafted in front of their friends and family rather than in front of a large crowd.
This way, if they don’t get taken in the first round, they can avoid an embarrassing situation like Levis endured last year.
