After falling to the top-seeded Boston Celtics in the second round of the NBA playoffs, the Cleveland Cavaliers head into their offseason with the expectation that they’ll be one of the most active teams on the trade market.

Immediately after the season came to an end for the Cavaliers, the rumor mill started churning with superstar Donovan Mitchell being the player that many anticipate being moved in a blockbuster trade over the summer.

There’s been a lot of rumors over the past year or so that Mitchell doesn’t want to sign a contract extension with the Cavaliers and would like to be traded, but it remains to be seen whether that’s true, as it could end up being Darius Garland that gets dealt instead.

However, outside of Mitchell and Garland being big-name players on the trade market in Cleveland, it appears that center Jarrett Allen could also be on the move, with three teams already expected to show interest in his services.

According to analyst Evan Dammarell, Allen could get trade interest from the Sacramento Kings, Oklahoma City Thunder, and New Orleans Pelicans, via NBACentral.

“The general vibe across the league, according to sources, is that Allen and Garland are the two who could become available for the right price if Mitchell re-signs with the Cavaliers,” Dammarell said. “While Allen has been linked to the New Orleans Pelicans for quite a while now, sources tell Right Down Euclid that the Oklahoma City Thunder and Sacramento Kings could be interested in the former All-Star.”

Although Allen’s season finished with him stuck on the bench with a rib injury, the veteran center can still get it done on the basketball floor when healthy, as he ended the 2023-24 campaign averaging a career-high 16.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game.

With Allen being a talented big, he’ll definitely have a market, with teams showing interest in upgrading their frontcourt.
