The Brooklyn Nets showed some promise during the 2023-2024 NBA Season.
There were times when the Nets looked like they could be legitimate threats during the postseason but ultimately fell short of making the playoffs.
One of the main reasons for the Nets’ success was the rise of Mikal Bridges, who took a massive leap in production last year.
While Bridges’ ascent into stardom might have made fans excited for the team’s future, it also comes with a price.
When players like this have a massive season, other teams around the league might try to snatch them up, hoping to add to their championship hopes.
Jake Fischer recently talked about potential suitors for Bridges in a quote shared via NBA Central on Twitter.
“Brooklyn Nets swingman Mikal Bridges, according to league sources, is a player to monitor among Utah’s most aggressive aspirations,” Fischer said.
He also noted, “The Jazz are said to be right there in the mix along with Houston, holding the No. 3 pick, and New York, where three of Bridges’ college teammates currently play, among the teams that continue to check with Brooklyn about the availability of its 27-year-old swingman.”
The Knicks, Jazz, and Rockets are three teams that have been checking on Mikal Bridges’ availability, per @JakeLFischer

The Utah Jazz, Houston Rockets, and New York Knicks all seem to have their sights set on Bridges.
With this in mind, the Nets will have a difficult decision to make.
They can either ride with the roster they have now, hoping they will mature and grow during the offseason, or, they can get rid of players like Bridges, selling in the short-term to solidify their long-term plans.
