The NFL season is right around the corner.

The Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens are slated to face off on Thursday, September 5th, the opening game of the 2024 campaign.

This is a highly anticipated matchup for many reasons, especially considering it’s a rematch of last year’s AFC Championship.

Both teams want to start the season with a victory, as it will start them off on the right foot.

The Chiefs are especially excited to start the season, as they are hoping to win their third-straight Super Bowl, something that has never been achieved in league history.

While they have high hopes for their chances this year, the Chiefs are dealing with a few injuries that could impact the start of their season.

Tom Pelissero recently highlighted the four players on their injury report on X, which are Chris Jones, Nick Bolton, Joe Thuney, and Hollywood Brown.

The first injury report of the 2024 season is here, and no surprises:#Chiefs DT Chris Jones (shoulder), Nick Bolton (elbow) and G Joe Thuney (pec) all full participants. Only WR Hollywood Brown (shoulder), who isn’t expected to play, was DNP.

No #Ravens starters on the report.

However, as Pelissero indicated, Brown is the only player who will not play in the season opener.

He also added that the Ravens don’t have anyone on this report, and will seemingly start the season with everyone healthy.

While a few of the Chiefs’ starters might be banged up, they are feeling well enough to play.

The same can not be said for Brown, however, as his shoulder has derailed the start of his season.

Brown was brought in to potentially be the WR1 in this offense, leading young players like Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy.

Now that he’s out for the season opener, one or both of them will need to step up in a big way.
