After disposing of the explosive Miami Dolphins 26-7 in the wild-card round of the playoffs this past weekend, the Kansas City Chiefs are preparing for what should be an exciting and possibly classic divisional round matchup against the surging Buffalo Bills.

Two seasons ago, the two teams met in the divisional round, with the Chiefs getting past the Bills 42-36 in overtime in what was perhaps the most memorable NFL playoff game in recent memory.

Right now, Kansas City is a little banged up, as L’Jarius Sneed, Justyn Ross, Kadarius Toney, and Skyy Moore were limited participants in practice on Wednesday.

Sneed, one of the Chiefs’ starting cornerbacks, has been a key to them becoming one of the NFL’s best defensive teams this season, a development that has been much-needed given their issues on offense.

Their wide receivers have had many dropped passes this season, especially at critical times of games, which resulted in the team going “just” 11-6 in the regular season.

Ross, Toney, and Moore are three of the team’s young receivers it has been trying to develop this season, but none of them had as many as 250 receiving yards in the regular season.

The hope is that rookie WR Rashee Rice, who had 938 yards and seven touchdowns in the regular season, will become the consistently reliable threat Kansas City needs throughout the playoffs in order to repeat as Super Bowl champions.
