Every NFL team hopes that all of their players will report on time for training camp.

But for most teams, that is not realistic.

That is because the NFL is a business and players what to be paid what they feel they are worth.

We already know of a few players who are not expected to report at the start of training camp.

One of those players is San Francisco 49ers star Nick Bosa.

The reigning Defensive Player of the Year is holding out for a new contract.

According to Tom Pelissero, 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan does not expect Bosa to report without a new deal.

Meanwhile, #49ers coach Kyle Shanahan says he doesn’t expect star edge rusher Nick Bosa to practice without a new contract.

This is unfortunate news for the 49ers, as Bosa is one of their most important players.

He is set to play under a one-year deal this upcoming season.

It is his fifth-year option that will pay him $17.8 million for the year.

Bosa knows he is worth more than that and he wants long-term security before he steps on the field.

It is all but a guarantee that Bosa will be the highest-paid defensive player once he gets his new deal.

Pass rushers like him are hard to find and he is still only 25 years old.

You would think both sides have been working towards a long-term deal for some time.

It should not be a surprise that Bosa is holding out.

Bosa is going to get a massive contract, and he is deserving of every penny.
