The San Francisco 49ers have been one of the best teams in the league for quite a while now.

Kyle Shanahan’s team is stacked with talent on both sides of the field, and they’ve been fairly dominant more often than not.

Despite all that, they still haven’t been able to get over the hump and win the big game.

That’s why some believe they’re just not made to win big games, and FB Kyle Juszczyk is sick and tired of that narrative.

Talking to KNBR, the Niners veteran stated that the narrative simply wasn’t true.

Kyle Juszczyk is tired of hearing how the Niners “can’t win the big game.”

“If you know anything about football, you realize how many big games we did win in order to put ourselves in those positions… Winning in the NFC Championship when you’re down 17 at halftime, that was… pic.twitter.com/9r8zxCXU7R

He stated that you have to win so many big games before reaching one Super Bowl, and talked about some of the odds they had to beat and the big comebacks they put together in the postseason games to reach the Super Bowl last season.

That’s a valid point.

However, they still need to win the one that actually counts.

Until that happens, it’ll be tough — if not impossible — to shake off the narrative about them.

We’re talking about a team that has gone to great lengths to stack their roster with legitimate superstars, and with that kind of power also comes great responsibility.

The Niners have been a contending team for most of the past two decades, yet they haven’t won a Super Bowl in more than 20 years.

The pressure keeps mounting and the clock is ticking for one of the most historic franchises in the game, and it’s time they deliver.
