James Harden doesn’t want to be with the Philadelphia 76ers any longer.
He has repeatedly made that painfully clear and we have heard about his desire to leave the team all summer long.
Yet, no deal to send Harden away from the team has been made, which puts everyone in an awkward position as the season approaches.
76ers newcomer Patrick Beverley was asked how he would feel when Harden finally arrives for training camp with the rest of the team.
“We can’t wait to see him,” Beverley said, according to Keith Pompey.

Beverley said that, despite all the drama, Harden is still a top-tier player who is hard to replace.
Because of that, the team will welcome him with open arms, Beverley claimed.
Harden and Beverley know each other quite well, as they played together for a few years with the Houston Rockets.
Beverley was excited to play with Harden again when he was signed by the team in the summer, but now all his plans are up in the air.
Harden attending training camp is a sign that he’s slowly coming to terms with the fact that he will have to suit up for the Sixers in the new season.
Or perhaps he just doesn’t want to face the extensive fines he’d receive if he didn’t show up.
Either way, everyone is wondering what Harden will look and play like during training camp.
Is there a chance that being around Beverley and others will soften his stance and actually make him ready to play?
Or will this be the most awkward and uncomfortable training camp ever?
