Tyrese Maxey loves playing basketball for the Philadelphia 76ers and he also cherishes performing so well for the loyal and devoted fanbase.
Speaking to “The Old Man & The Three,” Maxey discussed what it means to play for the fans of Philadelphia.
He said that he worked incredibly hard to get to the point he’s at now.
And he recognizes that the fans also worked hard and spent their money to watch him on the court.
Maxey doesn’t want to let them down and vows to make it worth their time and cash.

Last season, Maxey definitely made it worth it for the fans.
He averaged 20.3 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game in 2022-23.
Those were some of his strongest numbers yet and further cemented him as one of the most important parts of a very impressive team.
Last season, Maxey was viewed as the team’s third option, behind Joel Embiid and James Harden.
But the very complicated summer means his position moving forward could be changing.
What is the team chemistry going to be like now that Harden wants to leave?
Will Harden receive as many minutes and as much responsibility?
Or will Maxey continue to work his way up within the team’s roster and become even more crucial to its success?
The 76ers are the only team Maxey has ever played for and he clearly doesn’t want to leave.
That is refreshing to fans because, over the next few years, the Sixers could look very different.
But no matter the changes ahead, Maxey swears he is going to keep playing his heart out for the fans.
