The Los Angeles Lakers made a rather dangerous bet in the offseason.

They got two sworn enemies together in the same locker room, adding Patrick Beverley to a roster that already featured Russell Westbrook.

Westbrook and Pat Bev had gone back and forth for years, poking fun at each other and getting into each other’s faces every single time they faced each other.

And, while it seemed like they buried the hatchet and put all those woes behind them to push for a common goal, it seems like things have gone back to normal now.

At least that’s what most people thought after watching Westbrook do his signature ‘rock the baby’ celebration after scoring on Beverley during the Los Angeles Clippers’ home win over the Chicago Bulls.

Of course, this might have just been a thing of the heat of the moment, and they might still be cool with each other, but that’s unlikely given their character.

Truth be told, it was kind of nice to see the status quo being restored, as these two had some hilarious battles before teaming up in that failed experiment.

Beverley claimed the Lakers were a brotherhood and that he was willing to go to war for his teammates just to start taking huge shots at the organization and the fans as soon as he was let go.

As for Westbrook, he knows a thing or two about being scapegoat, mistreated, and disrespected by Lakers — and NBA — fans as well, so there might not be a lot of love for his former team, either.
