Packers Coach Makes His Thoughts Clear On Aaron Rodgers

It’s — almost — officially the dawn of a new era for the Green Bay Packers.

Aaron Rodgers is all set to leave and play for the New York Jets after 18 years since being drafted and 15 in charge of the offense.

The former Super Bowl champion expressed his desire to be traded after another disappointing end to the season, and it’s just a matter of time before they get a deal done.

But even though Rodgers didn’t handle this situation all too well, and regardless of the rumors of some issues in their relationship, Packers HC Matt LaFleur recently stated that he had nothing but love and respect for Rodgers and what he did for the organization.

LaFleur added that he was disappointed at the fact that they couldn’t win a Super Bowl together, according to NFL insider Mike Garafolo.

Matt LaFleur: “I’ve got nothing but love and appreciation for what Aaron has done for so many in our organization.” Says a lot of memories and won games. Not winning a Super Bowl is “ultimately disappointing” but appreciates their years together.

Rodgers and LaFleur didn’t always see eye-to-eye, and the legendary quarterback never hesitated to make it clear and public.

Nonetheless, they were one of the best HC-QB duos in the league over the past couple of years, despite all those well-documented playoff shortcomings.

LaFleur will now lead the Jordan Love era at Lambeau Field, and the Packers front office has had nothing but praise for the young quarterback.

Love is reportedly ready to take the helm and silence his critics once and for all, and he’ll have a plethora of young weapons to do just that.

As for Rodgers, it’s unclear how long he’ll continue to have the desire to play, but he’ll be an MVP candidate for as long as he’s out there.
