The NFL has made an exciting new rule change for the 2023 season.

Players will now be allowed to wear the number zero.

While it may not seem like a big change, some players care greatly about the number they wear.

Also, since no one in the league had the number, it was a race to see who would claim it first.

And now the race begins to see who will be the first player to wear 0 in the NFL. https://t.co/mAf5oKQ5MW

Well, that honor goes to Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Calvin Ridley.

He has yet to play a game with the Jags, so a number change was not necessary.

But, after serving his season-long suspension last year, Ridley will be the first one in the new number.

Some of these NFL players wore zero in college, and they might be looking to switch back.

Many fans are excited to see their favorite players wearing zero.

It will be a new look and something that no one is used to.

Yet, some people are confused by all the fuss about the new number.

I never understood the fascination with athletes wearing the number 0

Many athletes want to be different, and this allows them to do that.

Some New York Jets fans that are anticipating Aaron Rodgers coming to their team would like to see Rodgers in zero.

Great number for Aaron Rodgers at the jets.

While the chances of him wearing that number are slim, you never know what Rodgers is thinking.

Overall, this is a unique change for the NFL and something that many fans are excited to see.
