The Green Bay Packers are finally preparing for the post-Aaron Rodgers era, with the team set to move on to Jordan Love to fill the void under center once the team completes the blockbuster trade with the New York Jets.
Although the trade to send Rodgers to New York has yet to come to fruition, the Packers brass are acting accordingly, with the team preparing to make the shift at quarterback, which will almost certainly have some growing pains.
Head coach Matt LaFleur was recently asked about Love, and he had an interesting answer, which has sparked some reactions from fans.

Here are some of the reactions to LaFleur’s comments about Love:
Breaking News: The Packers have announced their new starting QB, Jordan Love… Cue the sound of Aaron Rodgers’ heart shattering into a million cheese curds. Looks like it’s time for Aaron to dust off his resume and start updating his LinkedIn profile.

“Temper expectations for the guy we traded up to draft in the first round, hindered our SB chances for and is ultimately why we are moving on from the greatest player in franchise history” Nice.

You traded up into the first round for him and are now trading your HOF quarterback to start him after sitting behind said HOF QB. Expectations are high and they’ll be high. I hope Love is great but the organization isn’t doing him any favors in the expectations department.

Although Love has shown some promise in the short time he’s had under center in Green Bay, it’s not an easy transition for any team to make after having a four-time NFL MVP at the helm for 15 years.
Obviously, Love will have his fair share of struggles in his first season as the full-time starter at quarterback, especially considering the lack of weapons around him right now.
That being said, expectations should be low for a third-year player taking over for perhaps the greatest quarterback in the franchise’s history.
Only time will tell if Love can shoulder the load as Rodgers did when he took over for Brett Favre.
Needless to say, Love has some giant shoes to fill and will face scrutiny during the 2023 campaign if Rodgers is indeed traded to the Jets as expected ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft on April 27.
