The Atlanta Falcons finished the 2022 season with a 7-10 record.
They haven’t had a winning record since 2017, and have been looking to get back on track for the last several seasons.
While they have been relatively quiet during the NFL offseason, they recently signed Calais Campbell to their defense.
Many fans around the league were curious about Campbell’s decision, especially since they consider the Falcons to be non-contenders.
Campbell has recently commented on why he chose the Falcons, citing “It really came down to where I felt like I could have the biggest impact both on and off the field.”

Campbell has been known as a great teammate throughout his career.
He has won the Walter Payton Man of the Year award, an award that goes to someone that is charitable and contributes to their local community.
To Campbell, he believes that he can make the greatest impact on the Falcons organization, at least for one more season.
Campbell also commented that the New York Jets were a team that was in play for him, but he ultimately chose the Falcons.
Whether the Falcons will be able to compete in 2023 remains to be seen.
There are still several holes on their roster, both on the offensive and defensive side of the ball.
By adding Campbell, the Falcons are joined by a longtime NFL veteran who is in search of a new home.
Will he be able to have a lasting effect on the young players within the organization, leading to success during the 2023 season?
