The Phoenix Suns took down the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night, giving fans something to be very happy about.
Not only were their followers ecstatic with the win, but they were also happy to see Kevin Durant play his first home game as a Sun.
Durant, who missed the last ten games because of an injury, was still shaking off the rust but scored 16 points and 8 rebounds.
At one point during the game, he seemed disappointed by his output but was then given a pep talk by his coach, Monty Williams.
Williams asked Durant why he was shaking his head and said, “Greatness don’t shake his head, feel me?”

Durant didn’t give much of a response to the words from his coach – but Twitter did.
There were many responses to Williams’ brand of inspiration.
“It always helps when you have a coach that uplifts you. Shoutout to monty!” the Above The Rim Podcast said after the game.

Others were wondering if Williams’ style of coaching would affect Durant.
“It’ll be interesting to see how he responds to Monty’s coaching style,” one Twitter user said.

Some people were confident that Durant would remember how great he is after a talk like this.

Meanwhile, many used the incident as an opportunity to take shots at Durant and the perception that he only moves to NBA superteams in an attempt to get more rings.

Many NBA fans will be paying attention to the budding relationship between Durant and Williams.
If they get along well and create something special, the entire team could benefit and a championship victory could be in their future.
