It’s been a while since the Indianapolis Colts last had a solid player at the quarterback position.
Andrew Luck’s sudden and shocking retirement might have cursed the organization, as they’ve gone through a bit of a carousel ever since.
Jacoby Brissett, Brian Hoyer, Philip Rivers, Carson Wentz, Matt Ryan, Sam Ehlinger, and Nick Foles have all failed to lead the team to contention, so there’s no wonder why they’re likely going with a QB in the upcoming NFL Draft.
And according to Colts insider Destin Adams, the team may have already shown its hand and plans for April 27 with their latest activity during Pro Days.
Per Adams, the Colts sent local scouts to Ohio State, Alabama, and Kentucky’s Pro Days to watch C.J. Stroud, Bryce Young, and Will Levis, respectively.
However, they sent Chief Personnel Executive Morocco Brown to Florida to watch Anthony Richardson, meaning they might be leaning in that direction.
The #Colts sent area scouts to OSU, UK and Bama’s Pro Days.
Then elected to send Chief Personnel Executive Morocco Brown to Florida.
You have to assume they have interest moving up to 3 if they are willing to show their hand in a sense with Browns appearance today.

It’s no surprise that they’re not all over Stroud and Young, as both will be gone by the time they’re on the clock with the fourth-overall pick.
Richardson has drawn some mixed reviews since he took over the starting job for the Gators.
His physical tools are remarkable, and he’s perhaps the most athletic player at that position in this class.
He does come with some concerns, though, especially in terms of his accuracy, but the Colts could do a lot worse at this point, and it’s not like they have anyone better on their roster right now.
