Over the last few weeks, the race for this season’s MVP has heated up with Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets and Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers ratcheting things up and fighting neck-and-neck for the prize.
Lately, Embiid has been playing with his focus solely on winning as many games as possible.
Because of this, he has just had one of the best months of his career.
During March, Embiid averaged 33.8 points, 9.3 rebounds, 4.6 assists, and 2.1 blocks a game.
This is leading many people to think that the Most Valuable Player award might be his.

For the last two seasons, Embiid has been runner-up for that prize and he has made no secret of his desire to win it.
But he has also made no secret of the fact that he’d much rather his team win the NBA Finals.
Luckily for Embiid, they now have a good chance of doing that.
The 76ers are the third-best team in the East right now and have been on a strong run lately.
During March, Embiid and his squad have taken down teams such as the Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, and more.
It’s not just Embiid who has had a great month.
In the final days of the regular season, the 76ers will take on the Toronto Raptors, Bucks, Boston Celtics, Heat, Atlanta Hawks, and Brooklyn Nets.
That is some tough competition but the Sixers could score a few big wins and possibly even climb higher in the standings.
As for Embiid, he could start April off in a strong way.
