The Philadelphia Phillies are entering the 2023 season with sky-high expectations.

This might be one of the most highly anticipated Phillies seasons in some time.

After making a run to the World Series in 2022, the Phillies reloaded this offseason.

One of the big moves they made was adding shortstop Trea Turner.

He is a former All-Star and arguably one of the top-10 players in baseball.

Phillies President of Baseball Operations Dave Dombrowski said he thinks this team is better than last year.

But, the one spot where the Phillies need to have some luck is with health.

Over a long 162-game season, you can assume some players will miss time.

But, not having any major injuries will be crucial for them.

Unfortunately, they lost their starting first baseman Rhys Hoskins to a torn ACL.

That was a major blow right before the season began.

Yet, the Phillies will have to find the next man up and keep moving forward.

Two-time MVP Bryce Harper is one player they cannot wait to get back.

He had Tommy John surgery in the offseason and is not expected to return until late May at the earliest.

If the Phillies can add Harper to an already impressive lineup around June, they will have one of the best lineups in baseball.

Overall, this Phillies team is very talented and has World Series expectations again.
