Kevin Garnett recently sat down with New York Knicks legend Charles Oakley to talk about basketball and the subject of who is the greatest player of all time came up.

When speaking about who is the best NBA player and who he’d rather be on a team with, Oakley narrowed it down to Michael Jordan and LeBron James.

“They ask me who you’d rather play with, LeBron or Mike? I said, ‘LeBron but Mike my best friend. Mike ain’t passing me the ball. He don’t care if I get a shot today or tomorrow,’” Oakley said.

He then went on to compare Jordan and James to Frosted Flakes and Corn Flakes, indicating that he’d rather play with Corn Flakes.

Oak weighs in on the GOAT debate.

Oakley’s response caused laughter from Garnett and the rest of the crew and it certainly rang true for many.

The comparisons between Jordan and James will be ever-lasting.

It seems as if these two will always be weighed against one another.

But, to Oakley’s point, they are vastly different in many ways.

They share similarities but their play styles are not aligned, especially when it comes to sharing the ball.

Jordan was always known as the guy who would take the last shot and was a one-man team at times.

This is sometimes true for James as well.

However, he has evolved his game, especially as he has grown older.

Now it’s not uncommon to see James defer to other athletes on his roster, even at pivotal moments when a critical shot is needed.

James has always been a great passer looking to get his fellow players involved.

In fact, he led the league in assists during the 2019-20 season.

Today he is putting up an average of 6.8 a game.

When you compare their stats, you can see why Oakley would rather play alongside James: because he’d get the ball much more often.
