Lamar Jackson’s contract with the Baltimore Ravens has been one of the most discussed topics of the NFL offseason.
After over a year of negotiating, Jackson still hasn’t signed a long-term contract with the Ravens.
Many NFL analysts have theories on why Jackson hasn’t been inked to a new deal.
Some have pointed to his injuries as a cause of concern, while others focus on the monetary aspect.

This was a landmark contract, not because of the dollar amount, but because it was fully guaranteed.
Many analysts like Greenburg believe that Watson’s contract has severely impacted quarterbacks moving forward, as they are searching for more guaranteed money, if not a fully guaranteed contract.
Watson was once an MVP candidate but has only played six games in the past two years due to his off-field issues.
Jackson did win the league MVP in 2019 and has continued to keep the Ravens on the map.
At this point in time, Jackson also does not have an agent to negotiate on his behalf, which is another factor in this situation.
Ultimately, if nothing happens between now and the start of the 2023 NFL season, Jackson will still be the Ravens’ quarterback.
Due to the highly-televised and highly-discussed nature of Jackson’s contract, this has become quite the predicament for both Jackson and the Ravens.
