Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade received big news in recent hours, as he was selected into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
This is the biggest honor for an incredible career that lasted 16 seasons.
Wade made a lot of memories during his time in the league, and many people loved him no matter what.
The Miami Heat never stopped loving him, and the team’s president always showed his appreciation for the legendary shooting guard.
Pat Riley shared a statement congratulating Wade on this big honor, saying that Flash earned this honor.
“We are all so proud of Dwyane as a first-ballot recipient, selected to be enshrined into the Naismith Basketball Memorial Hall of Fame,” Riley said in a statement. “What an honor! It’s EARNED and DESERVED!!

Before becoming Wade’s boss, Riley coached the player, winning the 2006 NBA championship together.
Wade was a talented, yet inexperienced player that year, but Riley and Shaquille O’Neal helped them achieve a huge goal.
Wade won two more championships in the early 2010s alongside LeBron James and Chris Bosh, and Riley saw all of that in a different role.
Now, the player has taken new routes in his life. This Hall of Fame selection is the cherry on top of an incredible career.
During his 16-year career, Wade posted 22.0 points, 5.4 assists and 4.7 rebounds in 1,054 games.
The Miami Heat will always love and respect him, as he became the biggest legend in franchise history.

He was a 13-time All-Star, three-time NBA champion and one-time NBA Finals MVP.
We have to wait until August to see Wade’s enshrinement ceremony, where he’ll surely salute Pat Riley, one of his mentors in basketball and life.
Among all the honors he collected during his career, this is the biggest of all.
