With the 2023 NFL Draft just three weeks away, the jury is officially out on multiple prospects.
However, no two players are currently under more scrutiny than Kentucky’s Will Levis and Florida’s Anthony Richardson.
Both QBs have drawn mixed reviews for months now, with some taking them in the top 10 and others not so sure about their abilities to succeed at the next level.
As a matter of fact, Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated recently reported that there are some executives around the league that don’t even think they should be worthy of a first-round pick.

Of course, drafting isn’t an exact science, and we’ve seen scouts mess up badly multiple times.
Tom Brady was the 199th overall pick, and Mitch Trubisky actually went ahead of Patrick Mahomes, so there’s a big chance they could prove their doubters wrong.
Both prospects are physically ready for the league, and they have the athleticism, speed, and strength to be perennial All-Pro candidates.
Nonetheless, both played on mediocre teams with little-to-no talent around them, so some scouts still can wrap their heads around them and determine whether their unimpressive numbers were due to their miscues or because of the few weapons they had at their disposal.
Moreover, it seems like it would take a catastrophe for Richardson to fall out of the top 10, let alone the first round.
As for Levis, his draft stock continues to plummet, and the talent gap seems wider when compared to top-notch prospects such as Bryce Young or C.J. Stroud.
