Kyrie Irving’s tenure with the Brooklyn Nets will go down in infamy.
Aside from his lack of availability and how little they were able to accomplish on the floor, his anti-semitism scandal was one that will never be forgotten.
Kyrie promoted an anti-semitic documentary full of fake quotes and premises, which eventually led to a suspension, a fine, and him meeting some conditions before eventually being eligible to be back on the floor.
Moreover, it led Nike to terminate his contract with him, making him a sneaker free agent.
Irving was a bit of a pariah, and multiple brands were wise to just ignore him instead of jumping on board to make him an offer, but it was just a matter of time before someone made the most of this situation.
Now, according to Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson, his days without an endorsement deal and signature shoe could be coming to an end, as Chinese sportswear giant Li-Ning is reportedly interested in Uncle Drew.
Kyrie Irving has been a target for the sneaker company Li-Ning, per @ScoopB

Notably, Li-Ning has already made its way to the U.S. and the NBA, sponsoring players like Fred VanVleet, D’Angelo Russell, RJ Hampton, Udonis Haslem, Jimmy Butler, and even Dwyane Wade.
Needless to say, Chinese brands aren’t as worried about PR on U.S. soil, so they have little-to-nothing to lose by signing such a controversial figure.
Moreover, despite all the criticism and even after that anti-semitism scandal, Irving still has a huge fanbase among NBA fans, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see his new sneakers fly right off the shelves anyways.
