Mookie Betts is a man of many talents.

He can hit, run the bases, play solid defense, and even bowl when he’s not on the field.

However, on the field is where most of his highlights take place.

On Sunday, he made a highlight reel play out in right field against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Los Angeles Dodgers were tied with Arizona at one run apiece in the top of the ninth inning with a runner on second.

When Lourdes Gurriel Jr. slapped one into right field, Ketel Marte broke for home.

However, Betts thought quickly and ultimately nabbed Marte at the plate to keep the game tied.

Unfortunately, it was not enough to preserve a win, as the Diamondbacks ultimately stuck their noses in front on a bunt single by Jake McCarthy and won the game by a final of 2-1.

Still, Betts’ arm was on full display on Sunday afternoon as he nabbed the speedy Marte at the plate in a key moment.

Betts has won an MVP Award, two World Series rings, six Gold Gloves, five Silver Slugger Awards, a Batting Title, a Player of the Year Award, and a Defensive Player of the Year Award.

He’s also been an All-Star six times during his storied career.

But his defense is what was on display on Sunday.

He managed to show off the strength of his arm as he barely threw out Marte at the plate and kept the game tied.

The Dodgers and Diamondbacks split their opening four-game series, winning two games apiece.
