Fans of the Golden State Warriors received a bit of good news on Monday when NBA insider Anthony Slater reported that Andrew Wiggins might be coming back to the team.
Wiggins has been away from the Warriors since February, tending to a private personal matter that has perhaps been solved.
For the last few weeks, most fans of the team assumed that Wiggins would be out for the rest of the season – and possibly the postseason too.
So, the news of his possible return is very welcome indeed.

Immediately after news of his potential comeback was announced, Twitter lit up with a ton of reactions.
Some people were still confused by his absence, others were cautiously optimistic about his potential output, and others were pessimistic his re-entry to the team would happen.
Many people agreed that Wiggins could help out his team, currently sixth in the West, in a big way.
“A healthy focus Wiggins is enough to make the Warriors a threat to win the West,” one fan said.
A healthy focus Wiggins is enough to make the Warriors a threat to win the West. They don’t have a chance without him because they can’t get enough out of Draymond Green and they are undersized.

Many people used Monday morning’s speculation as a chance to remind fans just how great he was during last year’s Finals.
While Stephen Curry eventually won Finals MVP, countless fans across the league felt that Wiggins should have been given that honor.

Some people were cautious about a possible Wiggins return.
They know he has a lot to do before he’s ready to take to the floor.
not sure what shape he is right now physically and mentally, so if he could help warriors or not, it’s a big “unknown” after he comes back…

Finally, dozens of NBA followers stated that what matters more than Wiggins’ return is the fact that he is getting through his personal matters.
“The game will be here waiting when you’re ready,” one fan said.
I’d love to see this but whatever the man is going through (which s no one else’s business) I hope he takes as long as he needs.

Nothing is set in stone yet so we don’t know when Wiggins will return.
But the rumors around him are suggesting good news is on the horizon.
