The 2023 NFL Draft is rapidly approaching, with all 32 teams in the league gearing up for the two-day event, which starts on April 27 in Kansas City, Missouri.
As usual, the top quarterback prospects in the draft have dominated the headlines in the weeks leading up to draft day, with four players, in particular, getting all the attention right now.
With quite a few teams in need of a potential franchise quarterback in the top seven, things will get interesting from here on out, with teams potentially moving up and down from now until draft day.
One team that will almost certainly take a quarterback on April 27 is the Houston Texans, who are reportedly looking at Ohio State star C.J. Stroud later this week, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
The #Texans are hosting #OSU QB CJ Stroud on a Top 30 visit on Wednesday, source said. With the No. 2 pick, Stroud is a strong option for Houston… if he’s still there.

Early in the NFL offseason, the Chicago Bears decided that Justin Fields would be their quarterback of the future and therefore agreed to a deal with the quarterback-needy Carolina Panthers for the No. 1 pick in the draft.
Although it seems like a foregone conclusion that the Panthers will take a quarterback at No. 1, there’s no consensus yet on which quarterback that will be.
That said, the Texans doing their due diligence is an expected course of action, as they’ll likely take a look at Anthony Richardson, Will Levis and Bryce Young in the coming weeks.
However, Stroud and Young seem to be the two quarterbacks that’ll be first off the board, so the Texans could end up with either player when it is all said and done.
