The Las Vegas Raiders are in a precarious spot heading into the NFL Draft.

They just recently signed quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo to a three-year deal to be their quarterback.

So, he is expected to be the guy in Las Vegas for the foreseeable future.

But the Raiders also have the seventh overall pick in the NFL Draft.

They are probably thinking they might never pick this high in the next few years, so picking the future of their franchise must be considered.

According to Jeremy Fowler, the Raiders will have a pre-draft visit with Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson.

Anthony Richardson will begin his pre-draft visits with the #Raiders on Friday, per source. Richardson will visit six teams, including Carolina, which hosts multiple top QBs as part of its Top 30 visits.

Richardson has been one of the most polarizing prospects this draft season.

No one seems to know where he might end up.

There has been speculation that the Carolina Panthers were interested in him with their first overall pick.

But there is also a chance that Richardson falls out of the top eight picks.

So, it makes sense that the Raiders will at least due their due diligence on the player.

Richardson is a raw prospect who would best fit as a guy that sits out the first year or two.

He could learn behind Garoppolo as Garoppolo did with Tom Brady in New England.

The chances are good that Richardson will not make it to seventh overall.

So if the Raiders are serious about acquiring him they might have to trade up.
