One of the most exciting players in the NBA today is also a superstar that rarely sees the floor, with New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson playing in only 29 games thus far this season.
With the NBA playoffs right around the corner and the Pelicans projected to clinch a spot in the Western Conference, the question surrounding the team is whether Williamson will be able to get back on the floor to help his team make a deep run.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Williamson played in some “low-intensity three-on-three” recently, so he’s back on the floor, but his return to action remains up in the air for the Pelicans.

When healthy, Williamson is undoubtedly one of the best forwards in the game and an absolute nightmare to stop for opposing teams.
Unfortunately, he can’t stay healthy, and that doesn’t appear to be changing anytime soon, as he’s played a total of 114 games in his four years in the league thus far.
That’s not a great look, especially for a team with high hopes coming into this season after an impressive finish last year.
The two-headed monster of Brandon Ingram and Williamson was expected to take the league by storm this season, but it remains to be seen if these two will ever see considerable time playing next to one another in New Orleans.
As for the Williamson-less Pelicans, Ingram and company will try to finish the regular season strong to improve their playoff position and potentially avoid the Play-in Tournament.
