The consensus in the NBA right now, with the playoffs right around the corner, is that the Eastern Conference is superior to the Western Conference.
All season long, it has seemed as though the West was up for grabs, as any team in the playoff picture could ultimately come out on top and face the best the East has to offer in the NBA Finals.
There’s no question that the top two seeds in the West are formidable opponents, with the Denver Nuggets and Memphis Grizzlies playing well consistently through the season, but no one seems to fear these teams, nor has either team proved anything in the postseason lately.
Fox Sports’ Joy Taylor believes that only three teams in the West should be taken seriously, and none of them are among the top three in the conference.

– Lakers
– Warriors
– Suns pic.twitter.com/RqkyRBzbRp

The Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns are all in the Pacific division and pose different threats.
Taylor going with the Lakers right now seems to be a trendy pick, with Anthony Davis and company playing well as of late but poorly for most of the season.
The Warriors, however, are one of the worst road teams in the league, with only nine wins away from San Francisco, which is pitiful for a defending NBA champion.
Phoenix is the most formidable team of the three, with Kevin Durant being the major difference maker and possibly the reason the Suns make easy work of the competition in the West come playoff time.
