The NFL offseason is always full of interesting storylines, speculation about potential signings or trades by teams and, unfortunately, players getting in trouble due to a lapse of judgment.
On Monday, another NFL player was on the wrong side of the law, jeopardizing his career.
According to 9news.com via Dov Kleiman, cornerback Faion Hicks of the Denver Broncos has been arrested on a gun charge.

The Broncos are coming off a forgettable season, with the team bringing in superstar quarterback Russell Wilson and then failing to live up to expectations ending the 2022 campaign with a record of 5-12 and a last-place finish in the AFC West division.
Fortunately, the team made some bold moves this offseason to help right the ship, with the most significant being hiring one-time Super Bowl champion head coach Sean Payton.
Payton’s presence is expected to cause a monumental shift in Denver, as he’ll shape the team to his liking, but the arrest of Hicks is obviously something the veteran head coach nor the team wanted to see ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft.
The Broncos selected Hicks out of the University of Wisconsin in the seventh round of last year’s draft.
Faion played in only two games last season for the Broncos, with both appearances coming on special teams.
It remains uncertain at this point what the team wants to do with Faion, as they could part ways and use the second-year corner as an example in terms of the new regime not wanting to deal with any off-the-field distractions.
