The defending Eastern Conference champion Boston Celtics are getting ready for what they hope will be a triumphant playoff run.
They will likely finish with the second-best record in the conference, and although they have a stronger bench than they did last year, some still question if they have enough viable depth.
According to Shams Charania, Boston is about to sign forward Justin Champagnie, who has spent most of this season in the G League.
The Boston Celtics are planning to sign NBA G League Sioux Falls forward Justin Champagnie, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Champagnie spent parts of last two seasons with the Raptors, and has averaged 18 points and 8 rebounds for Sioux Falls.

In 23 games with the Sioux Falls Skyforce this season, he has averaged 18.2 points and 8.0 rebounds a game while hitting 52.0 percent of his shot attempts.
He also appeared in three games for the Toronto Raptors this year and 36 games last season.
Champagnie may not stick with the Celtics, but they could use a little more frontcourt depth.
In last June’s NBA Finals, they got almost no production from their bench, as they blew a 2-1 series lead and lost in six games to the Golden State Warriors while being held under 100 points in each of the last three games.
In an attempt to rectify that problem, Boston signed veteran sharpshooting forward Danilo Gallinari last summer, only to lose him to a knee injury before the season even started.
He is reportedly hoping to return to game action before the end of this season, but he will likely not resemble his usual self after being out for so long.
After many were picking the Celtics to return to the NBA Finals, the team has seemingly become an underdog, as the first-place Milwaukee Bucks are emerging as the pick of many observers to reach the championship series.
