The Pittsburgh Steelers have been doing their due diligence on some of the most overlooked and talented late-round prospects in the upcoming NFL Draft.

According to Ian Rapoport, they’re now set to meet with standout Miami CB Tyrique Stevenson for a top-30 visit, which shouldn’t come as much of a surprise.

#Miami CB Tyrique Stevenson just concluded a Top 30 visit with the #Ravens, and source says he’s now headed to the #Steelers. He has several more visits scheduled at the end of this week and next week.

Stevenson is considered one of the prospects with the highest upside at the next level, ranking just below other studs such as Christian Gonzalez, Devon Witherspoon, Kelee Ringo, and Joey Porter Jr.

A four-star recruit in 2019, he’s been deemed a potential first or second-round pick for the better part of his collegiate career, both with the Georgia Bulldogs and Miami Hurricanes.

He’s coming off the best season of his young career, logging seven pass deflections, 1.5 tackles for a loss, and a couple of interceptions, which is why it was clear that he was ready to take a step forward.

Standing at 6’0” and 200 pounds, Stevenson is a natural and gifted athlete that often makes the rival QB think twice before throwing his way.

He’s explosive and fast and can line up nearly everywhere as a DB, making the most of his quick first step and acceleration.

Scouts raved about his performance at the NFL Scouting Combine, as he logged a 10’5” broad jump, 38.5” vertical jump, and ran a 4.450 40-yard dash with a 1.15 10-yard split and a 7.09 time in the three-cone drill.

Mike Tomlin’s defense always ranks among the league’s finest, so it wouldn’t be shocking to see the Steelers use their 17th overall pick in him.
