The Baltimore Ravens have failed to find a star wide receiver for quite a while now.
They’ve tried their luck in the NFL Draft, but GM Eric DeCosta claims that they’re just going to try and continue looking for a star until they finally get one.
Notably, their patience might be running out, and they may not want to develop a player, hoping he turns out to be good.
That’s why they’ve reportedly made a formal offer to Odell Beckham Jr., who’s still unsigned after holding a private workout.
However, Pro Football Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe doesn’t see the Ravens as a good fit for OBJ.
In the latest edition of Undisputed, Sharpe urged OBJ not to sign with the team because they don’t even know if Lamar Jackson will be their starting quarterback next season.
The Ravens reportedly made a contract offer to OBJ :
“If I’m OBJ, why am I signing with Baltimore when Lamar may not be there? This also means there’s less money to give to Lamar.”

Notably, OBJ has already dealt with poor QB play way too many times in his career, so he might not be looking forward to that uncertainty.
When healthy, the LSU product is one of the most disruptive offensive forces in the league, so there should be more interest in his services even despite all the durability concerns.
As for the Ravens, it’s nice to see that they’re finally trying to give Jackson more weapons in the passing game.
Ironically, though, it might as well just be another case of too little, too late, as Jackson has already requested to be traded and some believe he will never take another snap for the Ravens organization.
