Isiah Thomas can brag about something that no one else in NBA history can: He beat Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, and Michael Jordan.
But he isn’t usually mentioned when discussing the greatest players of all time, regardless of having one of the most impressive résumés ever.
Some — including him — think that it has a lot to do with his notorious, public, and never-ending despise for Michael Jordan.
Thomas and the Bad Boy Detroit Pistons were often labeled as the villains in Jordan’s legendary story, and Thomas has always held grudges against the greatest player in NBA history.
That was again on full display in his recent appearance on Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson’s “All The Smoke” podcast when he called Jordan out and claimed that he needed to be on that seat answering his questions.

Jordan rarely makes any public appearances, so having him on the show would be almost impossible.
He doesn’t like being questioned or being put in the spotlight, and he only tells his story on his own terms.
But if there’s one thing we know is that he’s extremely competitive, so maybe he’ll take Thomas’ words as a challenge and will agree to be on the show just to keep getting into his head after all these years.
All jokes aside, it’s a shame that Thomas doesn’t get the recognition he earned on the basketball court.
But truth be told, it’s also kind of sad and tiring to see a grown man constantly taking shots at another one, so maybe it’s time he just lets it go.
