The Tampa Bay Rays are one of two teams that remain undefeated after their first four games.

The Minnesota Twins are the other team to have accomplished this feat.

However, the Rays have been a very interesting team to watch over the past several days.

They kicked off the 2023 season with three solid starts from Shane McClanahan, Zach Eflin, and Jeffrey Springs, respectively.

Those performances helped them sweep the Detroit Tigers over the weekend.

On Monday, it was more of the same as right-hander Drew Rasmussen gave them six shutout innings against the Washington Nationals, allowing just two hits.

On Twitter, MLB Network posted a graphic to celebrate the fact that the Rays are off to their hottest start in franchise history.

Never before had the Rays begun a season by winning each of their first four games.

Obviously, that has now changed.

The Rays are red-hot and are winning games thanks in large part to the depth of their starting rotation.

Even more impressive is the fact that they have been able to do this without right-hander Tyler Glasnow, who is recovering from an oblique injury.

But McClanahan, Eflin, Springs, and Rasmussen gave them solid performances in their first four games and now have them tied with the Twins for the best record in all of baseball.

The Rays will look for another solid pitching performance on Tuesday night with left-hander Josh Fleming getting the start against the Nationals.

Tampa Bay has been red-hot and will look to continue their streak.
