The Dallas Mavericks made a bold move ahead of the NBA trade deadline in February to acquire superstar guard Kyrie Irving from the Brooklyn Nets in a blockbuster trade.
The move was questionable, considering the team was pairing two similar players together, with Irving joining forces with Luka Doncic in Dallas.
Now that the regular season is nearing its end, the move doesn’t look as good as it initially did, and that has some believing Irving may look for the door in NBA free agency.
However, according to Marc Stein via Legion Hoops, Irving may be content where he is and may have no plans of leaving.

Although Irving is rumored to be staying in Dallas right now, that stance could easily change, with the one-time NBA champion known to change his mind frequently about the direction of his NBA career.
Every team he’s been on thus far during his time in the league, he’s either requested to be traded from or decided to leave in free agency after promising to stay.
There’s no telling what Irving will do, especially when he has the power to leave a team willingly.
Irving’s stint with the Mavericks hasn’t gone all that well so far, and it wouldn’t be all that surprising to see him want to go elsewhere once he’s officially a free agent this summer.
However, it’s not out of the realm of possibility he gives it another try and attempts to make it work with Doncic in Dallas.
