The Milwaukee Brewers are off to a hot start in 2023.
Through their first five games, they are 4-1 and lead the National League Central by a game over the Cincinnati Reds and Pittsburgh Pirates.
On Monday, the team erupted for 10 runs against the New York Mets.
In that game, prospect Brice Turang had a moment he’ll never forget.
The young infielder hit his first career home run, which just so happened to be a grand slam.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, Turang hit one out to right field off of Mets reliever Tommy Hunter to make it a 10-0 game.
On Tuesday, Turang stopped by MLB Network to discuss the moment and what it means to him.
There’s nothing like hitting a GRAND SLAM for your first career home run!

Turang said that when he hit the ball, it felt good off the bat, but that when he looked up, he couldn’t see it.
Five steps out of the box, he saw it clear the wall.
Turang was then asked about who his biggest influence was growing up.
The young star said that his father made a lasting impact on him and taught him some very important lessons about the game which have stayed with him.
Turang stole several bases in the minor leagues and was asked about whether or not he would become a 30+ stolen bases player.
He said that he would do whatever it takes to be the best player he can possibly be and help the Brewers win games.
The Brewers have a ton of young prospects that are ready to help the team take the next step.
