The Arizona Cardinals may very well be at the beginning of an extensive rebuilding process, with the team moving on from Kliff Kingsbury, the retirement of J.J. Watt and what seems to be the inevitable trade of superstar wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.
The rumors have been swirling in Arizona for quite some time about Hopkins and the team’s intentions moving forward.
All signs point to a trade being on the horizon, with the team shipping Hopkins elsewhere, and former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky believes the Los Angeles Chargers should be the team that goes after him.
Who should make a move for DeAndre Hopkins?
“I’ll throw a flier team out there … the Los Angeles Chargers. … I match DeAndre Hopkins with Mike Williams and Keenan [Allen]. Now we’re talking about the ability to push the ball down field.” —@danorlovsky7 pic.twitter.com/39l5G4q3WK

The Chargers are undoubtedly one of the most talented teams in the NFL on both sides of the football.
However, the team has struggled offensively due to injuries to some of their star players, which obviously impacts star quarterback Justin Herbert and the team’s chances of competing with the best of the best in the AFC.
Adding Hopkins would give them that elite receiver downfield, which could open things up for the offense next season and in the foreseeable future.
If the Chargers can trade for Hopkins and it ends up working, Herbert and company would be a scary sight for any opposing team and could end up being the best offense in the league if they can keep running back Austin Ekeler.
He’d be a welcome addition to a team that might be on the cusp of a breakout season.
In nine games played with the Cardinals last season, Hopkins caught 64 passes for 717 yards and three touchdowns.
