The Los Angeles Lakers continue to make a playoff push.

They currently sit tied for sixth in the Western Conference and have three regular-season games remaining.

Every team that is in playoff position hopes to avoid the play-in tournament.

Anything can happen in a one-game tournament, plus it takes away from rest time before round one.

That is why the Lakers’ Tuesday night win was so crucial.

LA faced off with the Utah Jazz and the game went into overtime.

Luckily, LeBron James was called on to save the day for the Lakers.

His game-winning layup with 27 seconds left lifted the Lakers over Utah.

James also made some history with that shot.

According to ESPN Stats & Info, this was the 40th time in James’ career that he made a go-ahead shot in the final 30 seconds of a game.

That mark ties him with the legendary Kobe Bryant.

Any record tying you with Bryant is impressive, as he was one of the greatest clutch players of all time.

Also, James has played for so long that his longevity is quite impressive.

He will continue to break records the more and more he is on the court.

Also, the all-time leading scorer has shown no signs of slowing down.

James hopes to leave a legacy with the Lakers as strong as Bryant’s was.

Kobe is arguably the greatest player in Lakers history and James wants to be in that conversation.

Winning championships is all that matters to the Lakers, and that is what he is chasing this season.
