The Minnesota Twins are off to quite a good start this season.
Last year, they led the AL Central for much of the season, but ultimately collapsed in the second half and finished below .500.
However, a few key additions have paid dividends for the team so far.
One of those additions is slugger Joey Gallo, who is looking to bounce back after a few tough seasons.
His average sits at .235 to start the season, but he has already hit three home runs and appears to have fixed a few issues that have plagued him over the years.
Former MLB star and current MLB Network analyst Harold Reynolds broke down Gallo’s success and discussed what has worked for him thus far.

Gallo is somebody who has always possessed a great deal of power.
However, one weakness he has dealt with is the fact that he strikes out a lot.
But as Reynolds points out, he isn’t striking out quite as much and is doing a better job of following through on swings and staying on the ball.
He’s also covering more of the plate.
Reynolds points out another weakness Gallo has dealt with over the course of his career.
Pitches on the outer half of the plate have been his kryptonite.
However, this is an issue he somewhat fixed with the New York Yankees, as he moved closer to the plate with his stance and began to deal with outside pitches differently.
Reynolds seems to like what he’s seen out of Gallo so far, and it appears that the slugger may be primed for a big year.
